Community Development

In continuance of your pledge to better the lives of communities we work with, promoting preventive healthcare & sanitation, and making available safe drinking water is paramount to us.

    • Running RO plants:

  • We operate reverse-osmosis (RO) plants in Hosahalli, Basapura, Hanumanahalli, Danapura, Jaisingpura, Kallahalli, Hosalingapura, Kanivihalli and two in Hospet. Nearly 18,000 villagers get access to safe drinking water daily because of this.
    • Covid-19 wrecked the lives of many across the globe. MSPL and Baldota Group played Samaritan with many meaningful and impactful Covid-19 related interventions. They are:
  • We have distributed 8,079 ration kits for needy people during 1st and 2nd Covid lockdown
  • We distributed sanitizer and PPE kits to 108 health workers.
  • We distributed 50,000 face masks for villagers.
  • We supported Koppal Industrial Association and established 200 oxygen bed hospital at Koppal.
  • We supported Covid protective measures for health workers of Health Department at Hospet.
  • We distributed sanitizer, thermometer, and face masks for 17 government schools.
  • Our other healthcare interventions include 8 Jaipur foot camps,where 1,916 physically challenged people benefited.
  • We regularly conduct general health camps, gynecology camps, eye screening and surgery camps in adopted villages and Hospet.
  • With the involvement of Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev and in an association with Pathanjali Yoga Peet, Haridwar, we conducted Yoga science camp in Hospet twice. Over 15,000 people benefited from the camps.
  • We conducted speech and hearing camp, where 1,500 people benefited.
  • We donated Optical biometer to Netralakshmi Vaidyalaya Hospet, an equipment which measures the power of intraocular lens to be implanted into the patients’ eye more accurately and in lesser time.
  • We constructed 2,067 household toilets in 21 villages.
  • We donated well-equipped cardiac ambulance to the District Health Hospital, Gadag.
  • We established a de-addiction centre through AHB Foundation (Samarpan project)
  • We supported Breach Candy Hospital to improve health infrastructure
  • We regularly organize awareness/cleaning drives at schools and villages.
  • We installed 71 dustbins at Hospet city.

Promoting education including special education and skills training is at the heart of all our CSR. We equip the people, especially youth and women to face the challenges of competitive, modern life and thrive.

  • Every year we provide special coaching classes for 10th standard students at Danapura, Hanumanahalli, Kanivihalli, Srungaratota, Basapura, Jaisingpura, Kidadal and Halavarthi villages. As many as 1062 students have benefited so far.
  • As a part of promoting education and to supporting talented rural girl students, we have launched a scholarship program for rural girl children in 2020-21.A total of 264 girl students from adopted villages benefited from the scholarship program.
  • To provide proper schooling to village students, we have donated 3.53 acres of land in the name of Block Education Officer (BEO), Sandur, to construct a government high school at Jaisingpura village
    We support government schools on regular basis by providing furniture and materials for mid-day meals project.
  • We have installed smart class projectors in 50 Government schools. distributed 1,25,000 notebooks to 22,000 students in 15 years
  • donated a well-designed vehicle to Kannada University Hampi to run a mobile library across the stat installed 80 model science labs in three government ssupported 75 dropouts to continue their educsupported JATF HOSTEL (BANGALORE CENTRAL) trust to construct ladies’ hostel for poor women.
    We have trained -
  • 1,686 youth in computer operation.
  • 2,654 women in tailoring.
  • Imparted digital training to 544 senior citizens.
  • 390 women in beautician courses.
  • 143 youth in spoken English.

Promoting Gender Equality and Empowering Women
With the aim of empowering women and ensuring gender equality, we have launched many schemes to enhance their livelihood and employment opportunities. We run 151 self-help groups in adopted villages and Hospet.
MSPL helped rural women overcome obstacles of economic dependence and boosted household incomes by providing revolving funds. As many as 1,892 families benefited.

  • We also empowered rural women by generating self-employment through animal husbandry. We assisted 185 unit/members and engaged them in animal husbandry programs.
  • MSPL Limited innovated its own self-defence technique called DARE (Defence Against Rape and Eve teasing) for girls and taught self-defense techniques in educational institutions across India. Master trainers from MSPL, trained 4,35,407 girls from 2,046 educational institutions in Goa, Nasik, Chennai, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
  • At Baldota and MSPL environmental sustainability and conservation is a fetish
  • Every year we plant over 1,000 saplings on the roadside in Hospet, Koppal and surrounding villages. As on date, we have planted 19 lakh plants
  • As part of farmer development programmes, based on the soil and water availability, we have implemented horticulture projects at Basapura, Kidadal and Halavarthi villages. As many as 13 farmers received and planted 1,991 horticulture plants in their lands
  • We have constructed gazebo at Ankasamudra bird’s sanctuary
  • We supported 1,268 families to get LPG connection.
  • We have supported the state Government in wild life and habitat conservation.
  • We have initiated programmes for protection of national heritage, art, and culture.
  • We regularly support the state government, in celebrating Hampi Utsav at national heritage site-- Hampi.
  • Through the Abheraj Baldota Foundation, we implemented SutrSantati, an exhibition to promote Indian traditional textile industries/artisan/weavers.
  • Promotion of rural sports is a novel way of giving back to the community.
  • We regularly support rural sports and encourage rural athletes.
  • Rural development projects by Baldota are renowned
  • We have developed three parks and still maintain two parks in Hospet city. Everyday 200 people visit these parks for exercise and recreation.
  • The company has carried out road widening work from APMC circle and railway gate, Hospet.
  • We have installed 74 streetlights from APMC to railway gate.
  • We have constructed a bus stand near VNC College Hospet, to help students and commuters.
  • We have constructed a walkover bridge at VNC college to connect VNC College and library. This helps students.
  • We have constructed a bus stop at Basapura village.
